I love the GBI experience
This is the lovely yearly trip, the best ever.
With its hard and sweet times, it is all good when i remember it.
I enjoyed the hard moments in
[Training], Waking up in the morning, and ride my bike in the cold, and other times in the hot weather, in the uphills and long distances, in town and on Sokhna.
[Logistics], Booking and reservations, arrangements and shipping, little traveling package and many bike staff.
[Preparations], Fixing our bikes, Assembling our bikes and dismantling it, packing our staff and unpacking each night and morning.
[GBI Days], Looooong distances, weather changing in the day many times, Challenging going up the ALbs mountains, so narrow roads by the river, risky down hills, Burning Sun and Snow, waking up early and arriving late, falling down, pushing myself and others, cold showers, queus for path room, sleeping in the GYM or 3 floors under the ground, fast breakfast and any food that can be dinner.
And i enjoyed the sweet moments in
[Friends], by meeting them every week end and while biking to work.Training, by proving to my self that i can do what i though i couldn't.
[Europe], Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Czech, and many coming, each and every corner, knowing the people by close nit passing by them by a car.
[GBI Days] I can do it, long distances again, sweet views and location, the great company ever, the one team, the supportive attitude, the sweet dinner, the fun, the breaks, the speed, the downhills, the memorable moments, our pix, a lot and a lot to mention.
[Final Day] We did it, the glory, the pride, the love to all around you, the feeling of team as your family, and yes we did it.
I remember a lot of things in GBI
[First day in 2009:]
The challenge, and log distance and bad uphills, while i thought it is an easy day, the lovely feeling of cycling in europe, the sweetens of being part of a big team like that.
[Third day in 2009:]
2009 biggest challenge, going to the top of our trip, on the Albs, 1 KM height in just 12 KM long, was the most tough ride ever, and we all did it, i would go same track again just to do it.
[Fourth day in 2009:]
The highest slope i ride ever, i was riding fast and this is the only time, i just did all i can do and saved no effort and got to the top.
[Last day in 2009:]
What a lovely feeling to reach the end feeling powerful, and in such a great group, every body is congratulating us, yes we did it GBI 2009.
[First day in 2010:]
The challenging narrow road by the river, it was great and one of the best scene ever.
[Last day in 2010:]
The most lovely 35 KM at the end while riding in one big group of 260 biker with the lovely songs, what an unforgettable day.
It is a big part of my life now, i thank my god for the people i know in it.
